(now preparing)

Patchwork Silk Pincushion
Materials: Various colors of silk shantung, etc.

Also this style of patchwork silk pincushion was made in the Victorian period and I like its smart and elegant design very much. I tried refering to antique one to make this with paper liners. It's joyful choosing various colors of silk shantung. Also this work will be in my next boutique as a kit. :-)

Another side...

The lower part...

I like texture of silk shantung which has slub and knot.
I really feel good sense of Victorian ladies from this simple style of sewing item.

Pin Holder Babies
Materials: Antique miniature German hard plastic dolls, various antique laces, silk ribbon, felt

...which I've been wanting to make... It's Pin Holder Baby (doll)! They'd been made mostly in the Victorian period, with miniature all bisqhe doll or later also with celluloid and hard plastic doll, and their wool made petticoat was used as holder for pins and needles.

This time I tried choosing two prettier baby dolls from my collection to make ones

This baby is 8cm approx. very cute antique German hard plastic doll.

made from all antique laces and the inside of skirt put felt to hold pins.

This baby is a little big, 8.5cm. also very cute antique German hard plastic doll.

marking pins, needles, safety pins, etc... holds rather many pins and is useful.

Where are you going ? I hope someone will love them...

Back view of them with big ribbon. :-)

Bonnet Appliqué
Materials: Print cotton fabrics, antique laces, flower motif

This time I made them like applique, so I can put them everywhere as I like. It's really enjoyable to make little bonnets because you can make from only small waste pieces from cutting fabrics and laces. And they match well with also antique baskets like followings..., doesn't they? :-)

On the lid of antique sewing basket!

On the lid of another antiqeu sewing basket, too!

Also on the fabric bag. It's lovely, isn't it? Easy to put on and remove by biadhesive tape.

A Pair of Pot Holders
Materials: Antique French ticking fabrics, antique French rose print fabrics,
antique linens, red embroidery thread, hemp twine

A mere token of my gratitude accompanied by the present for my friend who invited me and my husband to the summer vacation at her home.

A pair of pot holders made from antique fabrics and with patchwork and quilting. I was glad she liked them. :-)
