Needle Holder Well..., I made friends of Sue. :-) using antique textiles of red and pink colors, then finished somewhat cute. |

It's delightful thinking coordinate fabrics' patterns and colors, changing accent with ribbons, buttons, corsage, etc. in the simple combination of sunbonnet and dress. She is made from check linen and flower cotton print with an accent of red velvet ribbons. |

Inside used dusty pink polka dots velvet paper... |

...and simple check linen on backside. |

She is made from two different flower cotton prints with an accent of red ribbon and rose corsage. |

...with romantic dusty pink felt... |

...and simple check linen on backside. |

Wow, lovely Sunbonnet Sues! :-) It's nice also for the present, isn't it? |
My Favorite Apron 2 This is another apron of a different fabric made from the same design as the following one which I like. I'd been holding this retro and cute cotton print for several years in basement. Finally today it has seen the light of day. :-) |

This time I put one pocket at one side checking pattern against the apron. |

White shirt and jeans..., my usual simple and casual style, on which I can add a little cute. |
My Favorite Apron Here the second apron made tidily. Used antique French ticking which colors are rare and cute red stripes on pink. Just finished this short and jaunty apron. :-) |

...holding kitchen towel or pot holder or...in large pocket in center... |

...made one hole for waist tie neatly. It's lovely wearing mini spaturas on tie and I want to make dolce with strawberries and mascarpone immediately. :-) |

Here the back view. It's good to wear only this like mini skirt putting around, or also nice to wear on slim and casual slacks. I like this style very much. . |

Apron for Mother's Day Now I'm learning how to make various styles of apron tidily and could make out some basic techniques so that I tried to make one for a present. |

...made being conscious of nostalgic old-fashioned apron. Embroidered big pocket put in center is something mischievous. Finished an apron for the splendid spring time. :-) |

Trinket Box I'd been wishing to make this trinket box refering to an antique box made from some antique French girls' portrait postcards c.1900 sewing up together, which I love. This style of box was in fashion and popular in that epoch. |

I have no courage to use genuine antique postcards for making it, and so tried to make from reproductions of antique girls and dolls portrait postcards. |

Cut each panel from postcards, glue each two panels with wrong sides together, punch with stiletto on perimeter of each panel, blanketstitch around panels with natural linen thread, sew up with slipstitch each panels together with pink silk thread, also around of upper rim of the box and the lid, put a tassel and a button on... Here! Finished! :-) |

The base is also lovely postcard used... |

How lovely! like an antique one! :-D and rather strongly-made. Putting antique laces, trinkets, etc.etc... |
